Well it's another Monday where Matt has to work the late shift which is a crazy 7:30-9pm schedule and I dont have work today. It was great to relax in bed and read before getting up this morning, but I sure missed him. I did all my usual chores and was even able to do some more drawing. I've been focusing on this children's book idea that I've been worked on and off on for the past year so trying to get back into it. Lets just say it has lots to do with underwater themes.
I'm missing family and friends a lot today because I was just spoiled having my sisters here the past week. It was great to show them around New York and I was impressed with myself that I didn't have to use my google maps app in the city one day. Having them here made me realize how badly I want us to end up back in Kansas and how much the people in our lives mean to us.
I'm loving my crazy beautiful life right now and feel like I'm on the path that God has planned for me. This blog plays the role of journal at times, a way to connect with friends and family, to show what I've been up to, as well as a way to let customers personalize themselves with Flowers by Sarah and my floral designs. Cheers!

And a couple of months later...
After encouragement from others I'm going to try to get back to posting, especially since we are in the think of this New York adventure.
It's been a roads of lots of ups and downs getting situated in our new surroundings. We've had to deal with crazy prices for everything things (East Coast problems), our car getting vandalized, me not being able to find a floral job, me changing my job so I don't lose my sanity, Matt getting into his busy schedule (and loving it), and of course being homesick.
We've had lots of great experiences thus far as well such as being able to visit NYC whenever we want (love Chelsea, SOHO, Central Park and hate Times Square), we saw a big shark while swimming in the ocean, we live by the ocean and lots of cool villages, and we get to experience lots of fun things together.
It's been quite a journey thus far and hoping to get better at this so everyone's in the loop (including myself).
