Playing Ketchup!

It's been forever since I've posted so its time to play Ketchup.  The past couple of weeks have been crazy to say the least with lots of great things occurring.Something bad must have to happen first before a flood of good because on Matt's match day for pharmacy residency he didn't get any of the hospitals he applied for.  We found out in the morning together and were completely shocked and even double checked to make sure there wasn't a mistake.  When we realized this was in fact the situation we were extremely sad and upset and had no idea what to do.  After a terrible couple of days of participating in the scramble for positions that were open still we got a hospital to take the bait.  Matt interviewed via Skype then traveled to this hospital where he was offered the residency position.  I was so proud of him for not giving up and laying it all out there to pursue his dream.  The even crazier part of all this is that the hospital is in NEW YORK!!!  AH! Were moving to New York in June on Long Island to be exact.  Other than the cost of living we are extremely excited about this year long adventure to the East coast.  I'm super pumped because there are tons of floral design jobs available that I could do so it will be a great experience.  It will be amazing to know that we are both pursuing our passions at the same time and in the same place.  Of course it will be bittersweet at the same time to leave the state of Kansas where all of our friends and family are and where we are extremely happy. After we got the good news we've felt a weight lifted off our shoulders.  Now the stressful aspects of the move have begun like finding a place.  It will all happen so quickly so were trying to tackle a bit each day.

Other than that we've had a great couple of weeks enjoying spring, running, visiting family in Omaha, and hanging out with each other.  I've been keeping super busy with floral designs and just love seeing all the flowers popping up with the warm weather.  Hoping to keep the blog updated better in the future.  Have a great week and Happy Easter on Sunday!
