New York Reality!!

It's been a ridiculously long time since I've written, like two months.  It's been a crazy couple of weeks packing, changing our address, saying our goodbyes in Kansas and heading out into the great unknown of Long Island, NY.  Well we're finally here and starting to get used to it.  It's definitely been a learning curve here and I'm starting to get anxious about getting a job so I have something to do while Matt is working as well.  I knew once we got settled more I'd start to feel this way pretty quickly.  I've been applying to multiple floral design jobs to no avail thus far.  I'm hoping something happens soon because if not I'm just going to suck it up and get a job to fill my time (that pays well hopefully).

We're finally living together just us as a married couple and it only took three years of marriage.  It's been lots of new experiences together and some have made us realize being an adult sucks like shopping for furniture, installing an air conditioner, sharing everything, and feeling like your're spending more money then making.  Then again every adult has to deal with growing up and making these kind of decisions.

While we've had some trials we have been able to experience some  amazing new things.  We literally drove halfway across the country in an over packed car under and over mountains, over bridges to our new home for a year in Long Island.  It's a lot more fast paced here and people are go go go.  At the same time there's been lots of down time to check out the ocean, walk thru the village,  explore the old fishing harbors, figure out what grocery stores to go to, and the roads and where they go.

So far the first weeks been a series of up and downs but I'm optimistic of what the year has in store for us.
